Retrofit

The SuperDrive CVT has been designed to be installed in place of a conventional transmission. Installation begins with the removal of the original equipment transmission, the installation of a flywheel coupler, and the installation of a pump mounting plate to the standard SAE bell housing. The next installation steps include the mounting of the SuperDrive CVT to the mounting plate, the installation of a rear transmission mount and the installation of the SuperDrive CVT. All other steps thereafter include the installation of the SuperDrive Control Module (SCM) and its associated wiring, and the installation of the heat exchanger, filters and reservoir and their associated plumbing. Installation time is approximately 30 to 60 hours depending on the complexity of the truck in which the CVT is installed and the amount of preliminary engineering work done in advance of installation.
